Data we collect
2.1 Account Data
- Username (chosen by the user)
- Password (stored as hash; never in plain text)
- JWT session tokens
2.2 Game Data
- Game history (moves in algebraic notation, FEN, timestamps)
- ELO score and historical variations
- Performance stats: streak days, win rate, accuracy, memory score, average game time
- Unlocked achievements
mic 2.3 Voice Data
The transcribed text of your voice commands is sent to the server only to convert it into chess moves (e.g.: "knight to f3" → Nf3). NoBoard does not record or store audio; it only processes the text transcribed by your device's operating system.
2.4 Technical Data
- WebSocket connections for real-time games (session IP, not stored)
- Server error logs (no personally identifiable information)

Data retention
- Account and game data is retained while your account is active.
- When you delete your account, all your data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
- Technical logs are automatically deleted after 90 days.
Security
- Hashed passwords (bcrypt or equivalent).
- Encrypted communication via HTTPS/WSS in production.
- Database access restricted to the backend server.
- JWT tokens with configured expiration.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA / as applicable)
You have the right to:
- Access all the data we hold about you.
- Rectify incorrect data.
- Delete your account and all your data.
- Export your game history and statistics.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest.

Minors
NoBoard is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you detect that a minor has created an account, contact us to delete it.
Changes to this policy
We will notify significant changes through an in-app notice or by email (if provided) with at least 14 days' notice.
